Watkins chest tomb 3.5 metres south east of south east corner of south transept of Church of St Mary

(Formerly listed as Watkins Chest Tomb, 3 yards south east of south transept of St Mary's Church)

GV
II
Chest tomb. Possibly James Watkins, died 1785, although perhaps an earlier tomb. Limestone ashlar. Square panels with enriched sides; 'lyre shaped' ends. The chest tombs represent a good collection of local and classical tomb forms and contribute greatly to the setting of the church.
