Corner shop with living accommodation, Later the shop was extended. Circa mid C19.
pebble dash render with stucco details. Asbestos slate roof with projecting eaves
hip on the corner and adjoining party walls at the ends. Cast-iron ogee-section
gutters.
Plan: L-shaped double-depth plan. 2 shop fronts at the front with central entrance
and passageway on their right; house entrance on left-hand side leading to axial
passage behind left-hand shop and parlour behind. Service rooms in the inner angle
of the L.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Plinth, rusticated stucco quoins, stucco pilasters flanking
the openings and stucco heads to the openings. Principal 3-window west front has
corner shop (3-light shop front) on the left, and 4-light shopfront on the right.
Another doorway right of the shopfronts. C19 shopfronts with original details.
Left-hand shop has arch-headed lights, pilasters, simple entablature and original
door. Other shop front is flanked by pilasters, has mullions resembling columns and
moulded entablature with brackets and modillions.
3-window north front has central doorway with moulded entablature over; 3-light
return of corner shop on the right, otherwise tall window openings (both fronts) with
original 12-pane hornless sashes.
