ST 57 SW LONG ASHTON LONG ASHTON ROAD (north-west side)

4/139 No. 97 (Beaufort Cottage) and
No. 99 (Somerset House)

Pair of houses. Late C18/early C19. No. 97 is rendered; No. 99 is rubble
(formerly rendered); pantiled roofs behind coped parapet; brick stacks.
2 storeys. 3 bays to each house, plus one in a later C19 extension to the left
of No. 97; glazing bar sash windows, the brick surrounds to No. 99 are exposed.
Central 6-panel doors under fanlights; No. 97 has a cast iron openwork porch
under a canopy; No. 99 has a doorcase of pilasters and a broken pediment.
