Bollard Milepost: c1820. Cast-iron. Cylindrical head, on narrower
cylindrical post, has 3 panels the north west face reading BUXTON 8
MILES the east face reading MACCL 3 3/4 MILES. The makers name J
Harrison Ltd. Derby is on the post.

One of a complete set of bollard mileposts on new Macclesfield to 2 in
Rainow Buxton turnpike of 1821. There are 3 others in Macclesfield
Forest (q.v.) and another in Wildboarclough.
