Manor house, now farmhouse. C17 and possibly earlier origins. Circa C18 projecting
wing to south and rear wing circa nlid-C19 with catslide roof on north. Rubblestone,
partly rendered with large stone stack on right-hand gable end of slate roof.
Hipped on left. South wing has scantle slate roof at slightly lower level. Half-
hipped at end with brick axial stack.
Single depth plan extended to form L-shape with added outshut in angle.
Projecting south wing to front.
2 storeys, regular 3 window south front. Timber door placed near centre under
C20 gabled rendered porch with slate roof. Tripartite C19 timber sash windows to
right and left and above. C19 16-pane timber sash above door.
South wing projecting from right-hand side, 2 storeys rubblestone. West front
with three 2-light timber casements on ground floor and single light casement on
first floor. Timber door in hipped end.
Interior of house not inspected.
House of Fitzwilliam family then passed to Mohuns. Inventory of Ann Mohun,
1608, recorded large house with over 30 rooms. Considerably damaged in Civil War.
Domestic chapel (scheduled) now ruined to south.
