Pair of attached houses. Late C18 - early C19, with some later alterations.
Slatestone rubble. Slate roof with ridge tiles and gable ends, gable end stacks and
axial stack with brick shafts. Left end rendered.
Plan: Pair of attached houses, with South Cottage to left and Craggs to right. Each
house of 2-room plan with central entrance, inner rooms heated from shared axial
stack, outer rooms heated by gable end stacks. Rear service rooms.
Exterior: 2 storeys, each house has central plain C20 door, with 2-light casement to
right and left, with L hinges, each light of 8 panes. First floor has 3 similar 2-
light casements. All openings have cambered stone arches. Ground floor right window
of Cragges replaced by C19 12-pane sash. Right side has straight joint to rear
service room, 6-pane casement with L hinges at ground floor and half-glazed door, 2-
light C20 casement at first floor.
Interior: Not inspected.
