Pair of former mortuary chapels, now a museum, in a cemetery, presumably one for Church of England, the other for Non Conformists, including gate-piers at road entrance in front. Circa late C19. Killas brought to course with granite dressings. Concrete tile gabled roof.

Plan: Two identical rectangular-on-plan chapels. Each chapel has an open porch at the front and they share a central stone porch at the rear. Gothic style features.

Exterior: Single storey. Unaltered elevations. East road front has pair of cross gables with central four-centred arched doorway to each cross gable. Original ledged and braced doors with ornate iron strap hinges; original gable-ended open porches with scissor-braced gables and cross-braced and arch-braced sides. All the gables except the right-hand cross gable have their original cusped bargeboards. Pair of pointed arched windows in the middle. All the windows have oak frames and reeded glass. Rear has central gable-ended porch and three-light stepped mullion window to each cross gable. Wide gateway at the front flanked by square-on-plan dressed granite piers with plinths and pyramidal caps. Original wrought-iron gates with cross bracing under the lock rails and ramped top rails. Roughly squared coursed granite facing to hedges (walls) adjoining at either side.
