Pair of houses in row. Circa early-mid C19 or remodelling of C18 house. Granite
steps. Stucco to ground floor and slatehanging to first and second floors. Partly slurried asbestos slate roof with gable end, right, and adjoining No 7, left. Cast iron ogee gutter. Double depth plan with 1 front reception room to each house, passages, against ground floor party wall, but presumably one house is larger to first and second floors, and service rooms to rear. 3 storeys. Symmetrical 3-window south west road front. 2 doorways to middle with narrow
pier between and both under moulded hood on moulded consoles. Original 6-
panel doors with late glazing to top panels. Rusticated stucco quoins strips
and projecting keys to ground floor. All windows are circa late C19 4-pane
horned sashes.
