Row of 3 cottages and outbuilding adjoining at east. Late C18/early C19.
Plastered whitewashed stone with thatched roofs and brick chimneys. Slate roof to
outbuilding. Single depth plan, rear addition to cottage adjoining outbuilding.
Cottages 2 storeys. 4 windows throughout length of first floor. Cottage adjoining
outbuilding 1 window wide with off-centre storm porch with stone rubble side walls
and sloping slate roof and pitched stone in front. Ground floor window to right 2-
light C19 casement, 6 panes per light. First floor window 2-light C20 casement, 2
panes per light. Slate sills. Middle cottage has symmetrical 2-window front with
large C18/C19 first floor hornless sash window, 6 panes per sash, high under raised
eaves. Porch has hipped roof carried on timber posts, 6 panel front door, top
panels glazed windows 16 pane early C19 sashes. Cottage adjoining at east has 1
window front, and gabled brick porch with bargeboarding. 2 plank front door.
Ground floor window left 4-pane C20 sash. Ground floor window right 2-light C19
casement, 6 panes per light. First floor 12-pane window hornless timber sash,.
Outbuilding adjoining at east has hipped projection to front right and C20 lean-to
to front. 4 openings in loft, cart entrance in front of hipped projection.
Outbuilding included for group value. Interiors of cottages not inspected.
