Formerly 2 cottages, now 1. Circa late-C17 to early-C18. Rubble stone with
part of upper walls of plastered cob. Cut into bedrock on north-west. Thatched
roof with brick chimneys at gabled ends and near centre on ridge. 1 1/2 storeys,
almost symmetrical. Ground floor; two 4-pane 2-light casement windows flank C20
stone porch with hipped gabled thatched roof and C20 timber door. To right, two
4-pane 2-light casement windows flank a C20 glazed door with glazing bars.
First floor windows directly above those of ground floor and consist of one 2-
light casement window with glazing bars, 1 without glazing bars and two 2-light,
4-pane casements. Large fireplace in room on left with chamfered timber lintel
with run-out stops. Stones projecting in vertical line against rear wall of
breast possibly to help draw fire. Unchamfered timber lintel to fireplace in
right-hand roof. Roof timbers replaced.
