- Penwarne Barton Farmhouse

GV II


Barn, probably granary over stables, shippons and waggon shed. Circa mid C19.
Killas and elvan rubble with granite and some brick dressings. Grouted scantle slate hipped roof.
Plan: Long rectangular plan with waggon shed towards the left with opposing
loading/winnowing doorways over. Right of the waggon shed is small stable or
tack room; right and left of the waggon shed and tack room are equal sized shippons or loose boxes and at far right is a stable.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Regular 2 window south-east front. Shallow brick arches
over openings to middle and left, granite lintels over the other openings.
Wide doorway left of middle with loading doorway over and small doorway approximately in the middle. At either side of these doorways are 2 mirror
image 1 window fronts with doorways on the right and left and there is another doorway at far right.
Interior: not inspected.
