Description

SW 72 NW CONSTANTINE NANCENOY

8/101 Bridge at SW 733 283

- II

Road bridge over a stream. Probably C19. Granite. A small 2-span bridge of post and lintel type of construction. Crudely built of massive roughtly dressed granite blocks. The low central pier is splayed on the north upstream side as a cutwater.
The stream is spanned by granite lintels set side by side, and over the outer
lintels the parapets are made of massive granite blocks only roughly fashioned.
The roadway is about 4 metres wide. The stream flows into Polpenwith Creek, a
tributary of the Helford River.
