Cottage in a terrace. Circa mid C19. Local shale rubble with granite dressings.
Asbestos slate roof with gable ends and red clay ridge tiles. Red brick gable end
stacks.
Plan: The cottage appears to have 2 principal front rooms and a central entrance
passage between, and with a service room in a shallow wing at the back. The
partition on the right-hand side of the passage has been removed and a staircase
built at the back of the right-hand room. The partition between the left-hand room
and the room behind has also been removed. The cottage is part of a terrace which
continues to the right.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Almost symmetrical 3-window front, the centre first floor is a
blind window. Small C20 16-pane sashes with granite cills and lintels. C20 central
flush-panel divided door also with a granite lintel above.
Interior: Exposed softwood ceiling joists.
