9/23 Newton and adjoining barn on west

House and adjoining integral barn. Probably C18. Stone rubble. Rag slate roof with
gable ends. Stone rubble end stack with moulded string on left and stone rubble
axial stack with moulded string between house and adjoining barn to right.
Plan: Ground slopes down to east (left) and house is built along the slope with the
barn at the higher end on the right. The house is of 2 room and cross passage plan,
heated by end stacks. The rectangular barn is built into the side of the slope.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Regular 2 window front. C20 casements replacing earlier
windows in original openings with 2 windows on ground and first floor. Rendered
lean-to porch near centre with slate lean-to roof. Barn with 2 storey elevation to
rear and ground rising to front providing access to loft.
Interior: not accessible.
