GV II


House. C18 probably refronted in C19. Granite ashlar front, otherwise stucco and
rubble. Grouted scantle slate roof hipped at the front and rear. Tall circa late
C19 brick chimneys over the side walls.
Plan: 2 rooms deep with large reception room at the front, axial passage behind and
probably 2 rooms at the rear. Classical style front possibly a C19 addition.
Exterior : 2 storeys. Symmetrical 2 window south-west front with no doorway.
Plinth, rusticated chamfered quoins, keyed flat arches with projecting keystones,
first floor sill band and parapet with entablature of band and cornice with blocking
course over. Late C19 or C20 16-pane horned sashes, and C20 boarded external
shutters.
Interior not inspected.
