adjoining barn

Farmhouse and barn. Early C18. Render over red sandstone with eaves cornice.
Welsh slate roof with C20 brick chimney stacks. Barn; red sandstone rubble
under sandstone slate roof. 2-storey, 3-bay house; lower long barn to right.
Front door appears to have been blocked and covered with render. Tall sash
windows with glazing bars, and double sash window to ground floor right, all in
painted stone surrounds. Rear has C20 door and windows with one original
2-light window. Barn has C20 door in stone surround and sash windows in stone
surrounds. Smaller chamfered-surround window to right could be a fire window.
Contemporary shippon to right under corrugated zinc roof. Rear has
corresponding C20 door which could have been a cross passage. External stone
steps to loft door. Other ground-floor doorways and lofts all with early C18
stone surrounds.
