NY 23 SW BASSENTHWAITE

4/13 Armathwaite Lodge

House. Dated and inscribed on porch J.A.B. 1873. Calciferous sandstone ashlar
with string course and parapet, under hipped graduated greenslate roof with
ashlar chimney stacks. 2 storeys, 3 bays. 6-panel door under radial fanlight
within gabled ashlar porch. Sash windows, round-arched with radial heads on
ground floor, all in plain reveals. Projecting polygonal bay to left has
similar windows and ground-floor false window recess.
