See also No. 3, King Street. The later King Street frontage is now joined at the rear
with a C16 house, dated 1563 RB (Robert Bartram). Painted stone. Original
gabled wing has 2 storeys of old windows - lower one on ground level - with
4 round-headed lights, small panes and hollow-chamfered stone mullions. A
stringcourse above upper window, and small square opening in gable. To right
of wing is of later appearance, with shaped doorway below ground level, and
2 sash windows on each of 3 storeys, most with glazing bars, and a round-headed
stair Window.
