Farmhouse. Rear part dated and inscribed L. & I.O. 1700, with early C19
extension. Painted rendered walls with V-jointed quoins. Eaves modillioned
cornice and parapet. Hipped graduated greenslate roof with stone and brick
banded chimney stacks. Earlier house has sandstone slate roof with rebuilt red
sandstone chimney stacks. 2 storeys, 3 bays, with the original 2-storey, 3-bay
house of 1700 at right-angles to rear, forming overall L-shape. Top glazed
panelled door in Tuscan modillioned pedimented doorcase. Sash windows with
glazing bars, those to left larger bow windows, all in painted stone surrounds.
Left return wall has sash windows with glazing bars in painted stone surrounds.
Earlier part has central plank door in painted chamfered stone surround. Sash
windows with glazing bars in C19 painted stone surrounds. Adjoining barns are
not of interest.
