Pair of cottages, formerly a single dwelling. C17 with later alterations.
Roughcast cob on stone footings; hipped thatched roof. Probably a 2-room (possibly
a 3-room) through-passage plan house; axial stack heats right-hand room, with
former newel stair to rear; left-hand (service end) room, heated by rear lateral
external stack, with off-sets. 2 storeys.
Front: 4 window range, two 2-light and 2 single-light casement windows to 1st
floor, probably all C19; blocked door (possibly opposing rear door to No.2); four
4-light casement windows, C19, 3 with external shutters, and a C20 single-light
window.
Rear: late C20 slated brick leantos. A small 2-light window probably marks stairs;
another, larger 2-light casement window. Interior not inspected.
