TL 72 NW GREAT SALING THE STREET

2/134 Entrance gateway to
Saling Grove north
of West Lodge

GV II

Entrance gateway. C18/C19. Cast iron gates and railings. Symmetrical. 2
forward plastered brick support columns (approx. 3 metres high) with stone
capitals surmounted by ball finials on concave stems. Plastered brick plinth to
curvilinear side railings. These railings with fleur de lis to lower and top
rails. Square openwork cast iron gate posts with circle and concave diamond
pattern surmounted by iron ball finials on coved stems. Double full height
gates with pattern matching the side railings. Semi-circular band to lower
panel.
