Detached cottage. Late C18 or early C19. Rubble with brick
dressings, slate roof.
2 storeys, 2 windows, small-pane casements; 2-light at first
floor, and a 3-light plus 9-pane at ground floor. Off-centre
right is a plank door, and there is a small 1-storey extension
to the right with a 4-pane sash. The left gable is plain, with
a brick stack, and the right gable is rendered. Ground-floor
openings have brick segmental heads. A late C20 addition has
been made to the rear.
INTERIOR: includes some of the original plank doors.
A substantially complete example of a small dwelling of the
period, in the regional vernacular style.
