House, late C18-early C19. Coursed herringbone-tooled sandstone rendered addition;
pantiled roof with stone coping and kneeler. House on sloping site with external
stone stair to entrance. 2 storeys and high basement, 1 wide bay and another bay
canted back at right, with added attic over. At right in first bay a 3-panel door
under small bracketed wood hood. Left 16-pane sash and a 12-pane sash above. Right
bay blank but for 9-pane sash on ground floor. Moulded eaves course; coping and
kneeler at left. Right return shows 2 replaced 16-pane sashes and a 12-pane fixed
light. The added attic is of full storey height and has paired sash windows. Small
pent rear extension is not of special interest.
