Pair of cottages, one build. Probably mid C18 with alterations. Walls incised
render on stone; pantiled roof with brick stack, stone coping and kneeler. 2
storeys, 1 wide bay each. Avery House has left 4-panel door under bracketed
cornice hood. Early C20 4-pane sashes, with projecting cills, on each floor at
right. Osborne Cottage has 4-panel door under pedimented bracketed hood at
right. Left C20 3-light casement under early C19 6-pane sash, both with wide
stone cills. Moulded eaves cornice. Left end coping and kneeler; shared
central stack. Rear elevation 1 storey, Osborne Cottage with attic dormer.
Avery House has boarded door and a tiny sash high up on left. Osborne Cottage
has 4-panel door and an inserted modern casement. Small pent projection at
right of Avery House is not of special interest.
