Mid C18, rebuilt c1870, facade Georgianised and lowered one storey 1965.
2 storeys, formerly 3 storeys, but top storey recently
removed. 10 windows. Modern slate roof. Rusticated grit stone ashlar with
pedimented centre with blind lunette. Recessed sash windows with glazing bars.
Modern central entrance. Segmental arched carriageway at west end. Included
for group value.

Nos 7 to 9 (consec) form a group with Nos 9A 11, 12 and the Empress Hotel.
