wall, railings and gate
GV II
House and forecourt wall, railings and gate. Early - mid C18. Rendered,
C20 pantile roof, cast-iron railings. 2 storeys, 2 first-floor windows,
continuous rear outshut. Central 6-panel door with cornice and added porch
with slender cast-iron columns supporting flat roof. Side-sliding sash
windows with glazing bars and projecting sills, probably stone. Rendered
coping and end stack to left, rendered end stack to right. Wall flanking
forecourt: rendered, approximately 1.5 metres high, ramped up to 2.5 metres
at house. Square-section piers at corners with banded and rounded caps.
Railings and gate: ashlar plinth to railings, round-section bars with
floriate finials.
