20 metres to west of
west front of Cantley
Hall
GV II
Sundial. Disc dated 1842; for W. Childers by Dollond of London. Ashlar
magnesian limestone pedestal with brass or bronze disc. Pedestal is
monolithic and square sectioned having chamfered plinth, sunken-panelled
sides and moulded cornice. Circular disc inscribed: 'W. CHILDERS 1842
CANTLEY' and 'DOLLOND LONDON'; simple, shaped gnomon. Included for group
value.
