2/41 Methodist Church

G.V. II

Methodist church, early C19. Red brick, rendered and whitewashed
on front elevation; hipped pantile roof. Two storeys. Symmetrical
facade of three bays : four sash windows with margin panes set in
slightly raised surrounds. Central first floor circular window
with radiating glazing bars. Central doorway with two-leaf panel-
led doors in semi-circular headed opening. Pedimented portico with
dentilled frieze on tuscan columns and pilasters. Sash windows
without glazing bars in side walls; brick dentil eaves course.
Interior fittings intact, including gallery with panelled balu-
strade supported on columns.
