House, late C17. Brick and flint with brick dressings, pantile roof. 3 cells
find chimney bay, 2 storeys and attic raised from 1½ storeys, single storey
extension to right. Centre and right bays of graduated courses of flint,
eaves of brick; left and chimney bay of brick; older bricks to ground floor,
coloured headers above, not bonded into gable wall. Late C19 3-light
casement windows with rendered surrounds, window to right hand bay ground
floor of 2 lights set in older surround. Single storey brick gabled porch
with pantiles to off-centre door, C19, with 4-centred chamfered brick arch
tinder hood mould. 6 panelled door under 4-centred arch and fanlight. Axial
stack of 5 linked hexagonal shafts with oversailing caps. Left hand gable:
brick over flint base, blocked ground floor window, 3 light first floor
window, 2 light attic window. Right hand gable weather boarded. Single
storey extension to east in English bond over flint plinth, pantile roof;
internal end stack rebuilt; C20 steel framed casement. Many extensions
to rear: behind right hand bay a 2-storey polygonal wing for dairy in brick
with hipped pantile roof; outshuts to central and left hand bays in brick
with coloured headers. Interior: staircase behind door and rising between
fire places to left and central bays.
