Probably originally one house, now 2 cottages. Probably early
C17. Partly square panel timber-framing, to rear of The Shrubs
and front of cottage adjoining, with brick infill, remainder in
brick or possibly brick faced, painted. Stone plinth. Main
range with pantile roof, cross wing of The Shrubs with double Roman
tiles half hipped, large brick ridge stack on main section, lateral
brick stack to right hand return. Single range with rear lean-to,
and cross range to right with C20 lean-to on right hand return.
Single storey and attic. Two raking dormers to main range, and
three C20 casements below, large to right on The Shrubs which also
has C20 fenestration under cambered heads on cross wing. Door to
adjoining cottage on left hand return. Interior not accessible
but may be of interest.
