Range and courtyard

Former stabling, now houses, and courtyard wall. Mid-c18. Squared stone with
dressings; slate roofs. L-plan. 2 storeys; west range 7 bays, north range 9
bays. Raised quoins and surrounds. Blocked segmental carriage arch with
rusticated surround in west range bay 1. Sash windows, some renewed. Hipped
roofs with stepped and corniced stone stacks.

Flat-coped courtyard wall runs south from west range then returns east to link
with north-west wing of Hall (q.v.). Gateway adjacent to west range has piers
with banded rustication and moulded caps; gateway in south has piers with
rustication, vermiculate on south face, and pedimented caps.

Buildings adjacent to rear of west range not of interest.
