5/72 Paradise House

GV II

Detached house, former farmhouse. Mid-late C18. Brick walls, with dentil
cornice. Tiled roof with stone eaves courses, externally projecting brick end
stacks. 2 storeys and attic. Plat band at first floor level. Raised panel
door in porch with gabled roof. Ground floor has 4 cross pattern casements
with glazing bars. First floor has 5 similar windows. Attic has 3 hipped
dormers with casements with centre horizontal glazing bars. Main ground floor
rooms have fireplaces with elliptical brick arches. Closed string stair with
splat balusters. (R.C.H.M. Monument 25. Dorset Vol V).
