Fountain, fed by spring. Probably C18. Flint structure with brick
dressings. Rectangular pit, surrounded by a brick curb, with timber posts
and iron chains. 3 steps lead down from road to water level. At the back,
above the spring, a flint wall with shaped top in Flemish style. Projecting
brick arch in this with remains of flint corbel over. At left end, a
projecting wing wall of ogee profile, with brick coping. One of the original
water sources for the village. Picturesque.
