SU 5832 NEW ALRESFORD BROAD STREET

GV II House))

House, and boundary wall. C17, early C19. Timber-framed structure with later
additions and cladding. Roughcast, with tile-hung gables at each end, and
tile roof. 2 storeys, 2 windows. C19 sashes, the lower cills resting on a high
plinth. Doorcase with moulded cornice, frieze, pilasters, panelled reveals,
and 6-panelled (4-top-glazed) door. On either side of the front there extends
a brick boundary wall, with a plinth, that at the south side (joining to No 50)
being broken by a gateway with modern brick piers. The east and south walls
have some exposed timber-framing, with painted brick infill.
