Formerly 3 houses in row, now 2. Late C17; mid C18 additions.
Random and coursed rubble limestone; artificial stone chimneys;
concrete tile roof. Two-storey; 2-storey with attic addition to
south west end. Front: main part (Turret Cottage) has 3-window
fenestration, outer 3-light casements, those to ground floor having
hoodmoulds linking with doorways, one now blocked. Central
single-light casement to each floor. Eaves at high level above
upper floor windows. Adjoining house has single-window
fenestration below half gable, 3-light to ground and upper floors,
2-light to attic, all chamfered mullioned with hoodmoulds._
Doorway with stone lintel and plank door to right. Single-storey
addition at north-east end is not of special interest. Rear: 2
projecting round-ended stair turrets with conical stone slate
roofs.
Interior: not inspected. Roof said to contain upper crucks;
stone spiral stairs in turrets to rear.
