6 yards south of south-
west corner of the vestry
of the Church of St Mary

GV II

Headstone for William Machin, died 1673. Sandstone. Segmental head flanked
by rounded shoulders which have shallow incised scrolls on their east faces;
recessed segmentally-headed inscription panel. RCHM Vol I, p 239, reports
headstone for Margery, wife of William Machin, died June 1706.
