Pair of cottages. 1744 with C20 alterations. Coursed limestone rubble with massive
quoins. Limestone dressings. Slate roofs. Large central stone ridge stack. Two
storeys, two bays per cottage. Rock Cottage, to north, has doorcase with large
stone lintel and C20 plank door, to south. To north, 2-light flush mullion window
and single light window in flush surround. Similar windows above, in same
arrangement. To south, Town Hill. Doorcase to north, also with large stone
lintel and C20 plank door. Between two doors, datestone inscribed 'CBG 1744'. To
south, two inserted C20 casements, of different sizes. Two similar windows over
with blocked 2-light flush mullion window between.
