SW 72 NW MAWGAN-IN-MENEAGE MAWGAN

1/161 Church House and adjoining gate
- piers and gate at north-west corner

GV II

Detached vestry, adjoining gate piers and gate at rear. Circa early C19. Shale
rubble with dressed granite quoins and lintels. Half-hipped grouted scantle slate
roof with brick chimney over left hand side wall.
Rectangular one room plan.
Single storey over basement
Symmetrical 2 window south front with wide doorway to middle of basement and 2
windows at either side above. Ledged door and original 16-pane hornless sashes.
Interior not inspected.Doorway also at rear right.
Granite segmental-heade gate piers flank gateway at north-west corner. Original
wrought with looped top rail and round-arched bracing between bottom rail and lock
rail.
A simple building but unaltered and one of a group of buildings near the church.
