War memorial, c.1920. Granite pedestal, sandstone steps, painted stone
figure and steel railings. Tapered rockfaced pedestal with figure of
infantryman standing at ease, with rifle reversed, against a tree stump.
2 deep steps. Names of those who fell in 1914-18 war inscribed on panel in
each face of pedestal. Spike-and-loop-topped railings, with gate in east
side, encircle the memorial.
