Gate Lodge. c1870. Rendered and white-washed brick with applied
timber framing. Two storeys. Entrance front: two bays. Gabled open
porch to right of centre with 3 ground floor cross-windows to left of
it and one to right, all with stone sills. Row of panels of small
framing to lower level of first floor with two gabled dormers at right
with coved eaves and decorative timbering to gables. C20 additions to
right of two further bays in similar style with 3 ground floor cross
windows. Left hand reveal: canted oriel to ground floor supported on
decorated brackets with two lights to centre with semi circular window
over and single light windows to angles. Hipped roof over.
Decorative timber framing to lower level of first floor with 5-light
casement window. Decorative framing including quatrefoil to gable
which has heavily decorated bargeboards.
