Pair of attached houses. Late C18, with C19 and C20 alterations and additions. High
View to right has painted sandstone ashlar ground floor, both slate-hung and painted
above, with slate roof and brick gable end stacks.
Plan: pair of attached houses, double depth on plan, each with one room to front and
one to rear and with adjoining central entrances.
3 storeys and 3 bays, central paired entrance with reeded pilasters and cornice, C20
doors. Ground floor of Sunnyside to left has C19 single storey addition to front
with flat roof, 2 sashes to front and one to side, all 6-pane upper sash and plate
glass lower sash, cornice. First floor has 2-light casement, 2nd floor 4-pane sash.
Central bays have blind windows at first and 2nd floor. High View to right has C20
window at each storey.
Interior of Sunnyside Rear room at first and 2nd floor have fireplace with eared
architrave and moulded mantel, vertical panelling. Stair to rear right, dog-leg with
stick balusters. Rear room at ground floor has half-glazed door; this has the
typical Cawsand/Kingsand glazing, Gothic margin glazing. At first floor, the front
room has a 4-panelled door, and cupboard with 2-light pointed arched door.
Interior of High View front right room at ground floor has fielded panelling to
partition wall and 6-panelled door. Rear room has vertical panelling. To rear left
of entrance passage, a straight stair with stick balusters. At first floor, all
partition walls have fielded panelling, vertical panelling at 2nd floor.
