House. Circa early C18. Painted and rendered stone rubble with asbestos slate roof
with gable ends. Large stone rubble projecting chimney stack on higher gable end.
Further projecting stone rubble chimney stack with brick shaft adjoining originally
serving outshut on higher gable end. Stone rubble lateral chimney stack with brick
shaft at lower end on Talland Hill elevation.
2 room and cross passage plan probably with kitchen room at higher end heated by end
chimney stack and parlour at lower end heated by rear lateral chimney stack. Outshut
heated by end chimney stack. Outshut added on rear (Talland Hill) elevation, on
higher gable end and reused porch added on front elevation to provide further small
room.
2 storeys, asymmetrical rear elevation of Talland Hill with splayed corners. 2
storey asbestos slate-hung extension with entrance in side wall. Harbour front
elevation 2 storeys regular 2-window front. Ground floor with C19 12-pane sash on
left and early C19 timber porch on stone rubble base on right reputed to have been
brought from The Rectory, Lansallos. Square porch with corner pilasters and
entablature with deep over hanging cornice. Original central entrance blocked and
side entrance inserted approached by stone rubble steps. First floor with two C19
12-pane sashes breaking eaves.
Fireplace on higher gable end with C20 chimney piece.
