Farmhouse, now house. Later C17, enlarged in C18, altered. Coursed sandstone rubble with some quoins, slate roof. L-shaped plan: two-bay baffle-entry house with early extension to left of first bay, and later two-bay wing to front of second bay, shallow rear outshut to second bay and matching outshut to rear of left end.

Two storeys; former doorway to left end of original first bay with moulded surround and large rectangular lintel, now blocked, an inserted door to the left with a blocked first floor doorway above, at ground floor a recessed four-light window with hollow-moulded mullions and hoodmould and above a three-light flush mullion window; to right of former door an altered three-light window on each floor. Left gable has small blocked square opening at ground floor and two at attic level, modern three-light window on each floor; right gable has one long recessed mullion window on each floor, the lower of five lights and the upper formerly six lights with a king mullion, now lacking three mullions, both these with hoodmoulds; rear has inter alia a similar five-light window at ground floor of set-back centre, a continuous dripstone over it, and a similar three-light window at ground floor of second bay; eaves at rear appear to have been raised. C18 wing to front is of less interest.

Interior: altered in C18; C17 stone heck and two moulded beams remain, but these have scarf joints in position of former bressummer, and present stone fireplace has panelled jambs and lintel with false keystone, fluted frieze; added first bay has C18 stone fireplace with corbelled jambs and segmental lintel.
