Cottage subdivided and now two dwellings probably C18 but
incorporating timber from much earlier building. Timber framed,
rendered with thatched roof of combed wheatreed, hipped to right
hand with ridge stack. Original plan of three bays. One storey
and attic. One dormer. Three windows including a C19
horizontal sliding sash. Interior: The framing is exposed.
The wall frame has slender timbers and light wall bracing. The
inglenook hearth has been restored. The frame in the partition
wall between the centre room and the end room is substantial as
are the joists over the end bay. The ceiling is carried on a
clamp attached to the wall.
