Cottage. C17. Cob, rendered, on stone plinth, thatched roof, probably wheatreed,
half-hipped to left-hand, with end-stack to right-hand. Central door at front, 1
window to either side 3-light timber casements, 6 panes per sash. To the left-hand
side a lean-to structure with massive horizontal beam and roof support; left-hand
room with main beam chamfered. Right-hand room, also with chamfered main beam, and
a fireplace with Thorverton stone jambs and wooden lintol, chamfered with scroll-
stops. Side oven with old wooden door. Newel staircase opposite doorway. Roof:
principals and collars, pegged and tenoned.
