Laithe-house. 1780s. Hammer-dressed watershot stone with
graduated stone slate roof and corrugated sheet barn roof.
Single-depth central-staircase plan with 2 bays and 2
storeys and barn adjoining to right. Lean-to porch with 3
and 5-light recessed flat-faced stone mullion windows to
either side. Two 5-light first floor windows. All of the 5-
light windows have 2 blocked lights. Stone eaves gutter.
Gable and ridge chimney stacks. 4 blocked 2-light gable
windows. Coped gables. The barn has a cart entry with
dressed surround and shippon door to far right. Later wing
obscures rear of barn.
