Description

BRATTON CLOVELLY
SX 49 SE

7/15 Wall incorporating outbuilding
immediately to south-south-east of
Wrixhill Farmhouse

GV II

Wall against which a later outbuilding has been built. C18 and C19 cob wall with
stone rubble to the outbuildings. Corrugated iron roof. The wall runs from the end
wall of the farmhouse to the shippon at the lower end of the farmyard which is at
the front of the house. There is a gateway towards the right-hand end which leads
into the garden. At its extreme left end is a wide gateway into the farmyard.
Built against the wall on the side of the farmyard is a lean-to outbuilding.
This wall forms an integral part of a very traditional farm complex.
