House, late C17th. Sandstone rubble with stone slate roof. 2 storeys,
3 bays. To the left of the door is a 2-light double-chamfered mullioned
window. To the right is one of 5 lights with inner ovolo moulding, outer
chamfer, and hood. To its right is a similar window of 4 lights. On the
1st floor are 3 3-light double-chamfered windows. The door has a chamfered
surround. Chimney to right of each bay. Above the door is a modern plaque
inscribed: 'The first Congregational church in north-east Lancashire was
founded here by Thomas Jollie in 1667'.
