Slaters Farmhouse

GV II

Barn and shippon, probably C17. Sandstone random rubble with quoins, and
handmade brick, slate roof. T-plan, with lofted shippon at right angles on
north side. Upper part of walls finished in brick, with coupled slit
breathers. Recessed wagon doorway on north side next to shippon; shippon
has doorway at end of west side wall, window at ground floor of gable and
loading door to loft. Interior: shippon has roof truss with wavy tie beam
and principals, curved struts, and a windbrace.
