3/16 Hillhead Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Probably late C17 or early C18. Painted stone rubble and some cob.
Thatch roof with gable end brick stacks.
Plan: 2-room and virtually central through-passage plan, each room divided axially to
create rear service rooms. 2-storey outbuilding attached to right lower end.
Exterior: 2 storeys. 3-window range. Principally erly C19 2 and 3-light casements,
2 of the upper storey windows retaining rectangular leaded panes. C20 thatched
rustic timber porches to courtyard and garden fronts.
Interior: not inspected. Roof has been heightened, possibly in C19.
